Awww, nuggets!

I guess it was a matter of way too many questions over an extended period of time. Picture it...June 12 at BW3 in East Lansing. Trivia night. NTN, to be exact. I made a random comment that I would blog about something that occurred, but alas, I can't remember what it was. Perhaps it will come to me in a dream...

By the way, Happy Friday the 13th!

I, too, remember the random comment, but cannot for the life of me remember the intended blogging subject. Hmmm ... The evening was great fun nevertheless, and we must do it again soon!

Did you make it to the Chili Cook-Off today? Rain (the meteorological phenomenon, not the Korean phenomenon) killed our motivation to leave the house, so I whipped up some Southern comfort food instead: fried chicken, sweet potato oven fries and watermelon. Would have liked a bowl of chili, though ...

I have a funny feeling that many more game nights are in the future :)

The chili cook-off was great, especially when the rain let up (nice reference, by the way). Amy was swearing up and down before the event opened to the public that she would never do this again, and by the end, she was thinking about what recipe to enter next year. We'll have to share the pictures with you - all of us decked out in "Vote For Amy" Napoleon Dynamite-esque t-shirts. It was a marketing hit, to be sure. However, none of us want to see chili any time soon...

Have a wonderful weekend with your family - happy Father's Day!
